My weight is finally plummeting again!
Loving this feeling, Starting to feel slimmer and fitter again! I've dropped 8lbs in one week so far, which is to be expected...after all it was probably mostly water retention and bloating etc.
Just a stone to go and I'll be down to the lowest point I was at before again and I can carry on :)
Ricki's weight loss challenge
At the beginning of 2013 I embarked on a weight loss goal. I began at 21st 11lbs and got all the way down to 17st 11lbs with the intention of going all the way to 15st Unfortunately I've fallen off the wagon...and regained a portion of that weight. I'm not up at 19st 4lbs and quite frankly terrified of the impending fact that it will not get better unless I return to my routine. So here we go again! A new goal, time to smash it!

Weigh in day!
Ok guys so this week i finally got totally on track again, and as you know the first week of being back on track after a long failure usually yields a big weight loss.
So last weekend i was clocking in at around 19st 7lbs
Today I weigh 19st 2lbs :) a 5lb loss this week! I expect it to simmer to 2lbs a week eventually, but next week i'm kinda hoping for a pretty good loss too haha!
This means I'm about 1st and 3lbs away from where i got to my lowest weight. Once i reach that level again I will finally be able (hopefully) to storm through and go even further like i planned.
I'd like to hit that level by the end of the year so I can say 'right - 2013 i lost 4 stone, 2014 I will get off the rest' I'd like to be at a point by easter where I can turn my fitness goals into muscle training and gaining goals! But I really must get rid of all the excess fat first. I think 16st would be a good target to aim to hit at easter!

Successsss!
Ok so things are going very well!
I'll post an official weigh in tomorrow, but when i checked yesterday I've dropped 4lbs! Creeeeeping back down that ladder ;)
Hoping to end this year where i left off at around 18st (or iust under if i'm very lucky!) but we'll see!
Had pizza last night for a sneaky treat and I've got a meal out next Thursday too so we're gonna have to be super strict! This time of year is always a nightmare really for trying to watch what you eat and drink.
I'm not gonna lie, feeling the craaave tonight! All i need to do is get through a work shift tonight without munching and I'll be fiiiine for that weight update tomorrow!

Successsssful day!
Successful day today! Worked out, ate low calorie and healthy...winning! Now to keep that up big time!
This thursday and next i'll be eating bad food so i need to make up for it by pushing hard and eating good the days in between! Hopefully this friday or saturday i'll post a loss for you ;)

Stress!
So this week hasn't been the ultimate kick start I'd hoped it had been...
I had a shock weight gain at the beginning of the week but I've managed to curb that down a few lbs somehow, so that's a start.
Right now my weight is 19st 7lbs (2st 4lbs down since start of the year)
Hoping that by the end of the year I can get somewhere near the 18st mark again so that January can be a fresh start, round about 4 stone down...and only 3 stone more to go.
I think it's finding the enthusiasm when right now I'm suffering a cough, extreme studying and rehearsing for an Opera, juggling uni assignments, working 4 nights a week AND trying to track all my food and make sure I hit the gym...
I know it's hard, but I can do it and I did it before...granted at the start of the year I didn't have a job to worry about going to...all I had was going to uni a few times a week, assignments and gymming haha.
I had a read through some of my old blog posts and realised a few things I'd forgotten. Seems I used to squeeze in a few hour long walks per week too! Maybe that's something I need to work in on top of my gym routine. My determination level was staggering at the beginning of the year - I will get that back! :)

Upping the calories
Well i think i was being naĆve to think i could drop my diet calories straight back down to 1600 a day. It's causing me to binge at night setting me back. I started this whole thing at 2000 cals a day so im hitting up that threshold again as of today. Hopefully i can drop it back down again in the next few weeks :)

Day 2 of my re-start!
So I gave myself a quick weigh in today as I hadn't actually really weighed myself since last week sometime...things are worse than I thought!
I will probably post a weigh in update every Friday I think...I'm expecting this Friday to be around the 19st 5lbs mark. I hate even SAYING the number '19' at the start of those figures. It's terrifying...the fact I got down to 17st 11 at one point.
Sigh...I need to view this as a fresh start, yes I'm around 2 and a half stone lighter than I was at the beginning of the year but by now I should be a lot lighter. I should be at my target weight by now to be fair.
I think if I view it as a fresh start and stop worrying about what I had previously managed to get down to and how much I regained, then it could remove a lot of the depression of it all.
One of my rules is usually that I don't eat after 19:30 but with my opera rehearsal schedule often leading me to be in Uni til lie 10pm Monday and Tuesday, and working til 10:30 on wednesdays and sometimes as late as 1:30am on Weekends, perhaps I should start saving my dinner for a lot later in the day! That way I'm less likely to scrounge at night. I can always take dinner to work with me.
Anyway, this was intended to be a short post so I'll leave it there :)
