Hello folks!
Well yesterday was a bit of a blow-out of a feast day! After losing 13lbs I ate perhaps a biiiit more than I should have yesterday on my feast day, but nevertheless! It's another fast day!
Next weeks weigh in will be on Friday. I will be weighing myself on Fridays and Saturdays intermittently because I always must weigh myself the morning after a fast day. This will make sure it's always 6 or 8 day intervals I'm weighing in on instead of making the weigh in days very random.
Anyway!
Creativity on fasting days is my topic today. I don't even think I have got this one nailed.
Let's get one thing straight, eating 500-600 calories in a day...you simply aren't going to get your 'Recommended daily allowance' of certain vitamins or nutrients, so always take a vitamin supplement every morning!
I want to try and get in some vegetables, some protein and also some fat for taste of course :) so this is what I'll be making today, whether or not it'll taste good or not - well, that I will update you on later ;)
300g cored and quartered parsnips (Sainsbury's 189 calories)
130g tin of Tuna chunks in brine (150 calories)
1tbsp of lighter mayo (Sainsbury's 39 calories)
50g of grated cheese (Weight watchers reduced fat 108 calories)
15ml flora cuisine cooking fat (Healthier alternative to oil - 95 calories)
Pinch of salt
Total Calories: 581 calories
First I will be throwing the cored and quartered parsnips into the tefal airfryer with the flora cuisine and pinch of salt. Once they are done i will put them on a plate evenly spread. I'll mix up the tuna and mayo in a bowl and dollop that on top. Then, I will take the 50g of Cheese and sprinkle it evenly over the top. To finish it off, I'll chuck it into the grill for a few minutes to let the cheese melt over the tuna mayo.
Never said I was any kind of chef, but I think this will work!
