Well usually I'd be posting a weigh in today - but I've decided not to!
The bad news:
The last week or so I've been off uni for study leave and exam revision which is dominating a lot of things right now! I've still been going to the gym a good bit but the studying at home all day has left me 'Grazing' on food at home. Nothing overly fatty or bad, but calories none the less. So I actually know that I haven't lost a single lb this week. Infact, I've gained about 1lb. This means for the last 2 weeks my weight has been at a 'standstill'. My last exam is over and done with on Tuesday so after that day is over I will be fully back into machine mode, but for now I'm not letting it get me down as I have a lot of things to think about that I must get done.
The Good news:
The good news about all this is that I have proved to myself that I've lost this 50+ lbs so far the CORRECT way for my body. Usually when people lose a lot of weight the wrong way or through a fad diet their bodies haven't learned a new and efficient way of living, therefore when things start to buckle or go a bit awry the body starts to pile on the pounds RAPIDLY! My weight however, has remained steady. This is showing that my body is ready to accept and function in a way that is much healthier and it also shows my metabolism and calorie burning efficiency has increased dramatically since becoming a gym addict. This will be due to all my muscles being in fantastic condition right now and the fat that I've lost being well and truly burned off and not just 'lost' if that makes sense to anyone?
So all is not lost, I will probably not make many more blog updates until after exams are done. But I will inform you now that I'm taking steps as of today to AT LEAST stop the food grazing at home and start bringing my calorie daily right back down to 1500 a day so I can get back into machine-mode as quickly as possible once exams are done.
I don't think it's such a bad thing to have a wee 'break' midway if I want to call it that. After all I've lost over FIFTY lbs!!! That's insane. gaining 1 of those lbs back for a couple of weeks of slight misbehavior is acceptable, so long as I DO actually return to machine mode next week - which I will ;) - The sun is coming out on the odd occasion now and I'm LOVING how I look like a totally different person now - we're down to the nitty gritty, the last 3 stone, and we'll get it done! Also, I still have a target of 17.5 stone to reach by my birthday which is in EXACTLY 8 weeks! I think I can definitely hit it, and if I do it right, I can absolutely SMASH it. I'd like to get to 17st....but we'll just have to see :)
Anyway, signing off for now! Hopefully I can update you all some point next week with some good news - and MAYBE even a weight loss next Friday.
